NAEYC is seeking a Call Center Associate for its busy membership and sales department to provide customer service to members, customer, subscribers and others who contact us for information. Duties include data entry, filing, customer contact/follow-up and troubleshooting various membership/sales issues via phone, e-mail, fax and mail.
1-2 years of reception, call center, administrative and customer service experience required. Candidates must be proficient in MSOffice/Windows and have excellent customer service skills. Quality Enhancement Coordinator
NAEYC is seeking a Coordinator to support the day-to-day activities related to new and ongoing projects, including an international grant-funded project for early childhood professionals and other stakeholders in the Middle East through February 2015. Responsibilities include administrative, logistics, arranging meetings and resource development support, including travel logistics and on-site support. Will also be responsible for assisting the Director in implementing programs that provide technical assistance, information, guidance and support to public and large-scale private entities abroad that implement quality enhancement initiatives that embrace NAEYC standards.
The successful candidate must have a B.A. Degree in International Development, or a related field. Experience in early childhood education is a plus. Knowledge of the Middle East/North Africa region and Arabic is highly desirable. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and work collaboratively. Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication and database skills are required. Must be available to travel internationally to the Middle East & North Africa; at times on short notice.

NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation
Communications and Information Specialist
NAEYC seeks a Communications and Information Specialist to support the work of the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining online resources for programs pursuing accreditation, coordinating various communication channels, and clearly conveying information to a variety of audiences. The Specialist also provides technical assistance about the accreditation process, policies, and procedures to NAEYC customers and the general public.
Requirements include: B.A., preferably in Communications or a related field; outstanding writing, proofreading, and customer service skills; experience with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems; web design fundamentals (i.e., basic HTML and CSS). Experience in the field of early childhood education and knowledge of NAEYC’s accreditation system is a plus.

Digital Content and Services
Digital Content Assistants
NAEYC Digital Content department oversees user engagement, content, and production of NAEYC’s website (naeyc.org) and NAEYC’s For Families Website (families.naeyc.org).
The NAEYC website features content that highlights a range of NAEYC programs and initiatives including blog posts and news related to timely early childhood education topics, and highlights from NAEYC’s periodicals and books. The For Families site offers families information about finding quality child care and preschool programs, a search tool to find NAEYC accredited programs and researched-based information for families about young children’s learning and development.
The digital content department also produces a number of e-newsletters and manages social media outreach working collaboratively across the association with marketing, IT and design teams. The goal of these digital properties is to engage members and the general public in NAEYC’ content and initiatives.
We are looking for two applicants to assist a small digital content team with a variety of tasks related to web, email, and social media content and production.
Candidates should have an interest in and experience with digital content and social media, excellent writing and communication skills, an interest in early childhood education topics, experience using a content management system, email and social media tools and familiarity with Google Analytics. Candidates should have an aptitude for organizing and categorizing content and proofing and formatting digital content according to a style guide.
We are looking for candidates who can work independently with minimal supervision. College students or recent college graduates who have studied journalism, digital communications, or early childhood education are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be available to work 28 hours per week for 8-10 consecutive weeks between May 19 and August 30. Salary is $13 per hour.
Tasks may include but not be limited to:
Web content management and organization:
-Tagging website content in a content management system as part of a website redesign
-QA testing of web content and links on a development site
-Reformatting content according to a web style guide
-Gather content to be used for quick response news stories
-Draft social media posts and schedule in Hoot Suite and Facebook
-Provide reports on web, social media, and email use using a variety of tools including Google analytics and other social media and email tools
Content evaluation (video):
Identify and evaluate potential video content sources, which could be incorporated into NAEYC’s digital content, offering. Would include evaluating for designated categories such as content topics covered, and intended audience.
