Senior Meeting Planner
NAEYC is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented senior meeting planning professional to join our outstanding Conference team to manage and coordinate logistics for our annual professional development institute 2000+ attendees) and assist with planning and support for our annual national city-wide conference (10,000+ attendees). Duties include coordinating the room set and audiovisual needs for approximately 20 concurrent sessions per time slot/day, coordinating catering, managing the meeting room inventory, coordinating staff travel, preparing and writing copy for the conference programs, preparing RFP’s, analyzing vendor contracts, and onsite management.
B.A. degree and a minimum of 5-7 years experience in coordinating logistics for association conferences and multi-site meetings are required. CMP or related coursework is a plus. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize work. Managing multiple projects is essential. The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and has the ability to work under pressure to achieve and produce a seamless event. A working knowledge of databases, MS Office and the ability to travel is also required.

Quality Enhancement Coordinator
NAEYC is seeking a Coordinator to support the day-to-day activities related to new and ongoing projects, including an international grant-funded project for early childhood professionals and other stakeholders in the Middle East through February 2015. Responsibilities include administrative, logistics, arranging meetings and resource development support, including travel logistics and on-site support. Will also be responsible for assisting the Director in implementing programs that provide technical assistance, information, guidance and support to public and large-scale private entities abroad that implement quality enhancement initiatives that embrace NAEYC standards.
The successful candidate must have a B.A. Degree in International Development, or a related field. Experience in early childhood education is a plus. Knowledge of the Middle East/North Africa region and Arabic is highly desirable. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and work collaboratively. Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication and database skills are required. Must be available to travel internationally to the Middle East & North Africa; at times on short notice.

NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accredittaion
Communications and Information Coordinator
NAEYC seeks a Communications and Information Specialist to support the work of the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining online resources for programs pursuing accreditation, coordinating various communication channels, and clearly conveying information to a variety of audiences. The Specialist also provides technical assistance about the accreditation process, policies, and procedures to NAEYC customers and the general public.
Requirements include: B.A., preferably in Communications or a related field; outstanding writing, proofreading, and customer service skills; experience with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems; web design fundamentals (i.e., basic HTML and CSS). Experience in the field of early childhood education and knowledge of NAEYC’s accreditation system is a plus.
