Assessor Application Information

There are six steps in the process to become an NAEYC Assessor:

The Academy has received hundreds of applications from outstanding early childhood professionals since the launch of the reinvented system in September 2006 and we continue to encourage applications on a rolling basis to fill positions as needed.

Please note: Assessor training is only offered to individuals selected as assessors by the Academy.   The size and geography of the Assessor corps is determined  based on the number and location of programs submitting Step 2-Application.  Assessor Applications will be kept on file and therefore there is no need to re-apply once application materials have been sent to the Academy.
