About the hotels

Please stay only at official NAEYC hotels! When NAEYC brings the National Institute for Early Childhood Professional Development into a city, we negotiate with hotels to block a sufficient number of guest rooms for attendees. For 2008, NAEYC has contracted with three of New Orleans’ finest properties. We want you to feel safe and secure and to enjoy the hospitality of quality, upscale lodging. You deserve it! Keep in mind that if NAEYC does not fulfill our contractual obligations with these hotels, the Association will be required to pay significant financial penalties. Please support your professional association by making your reservation with one of NAEYC’s official hotels. Thank you.

NAEYC has blocked guest rooms at the New Orleans Marriott, Sheraton New Orleans and the Renaissance Pere Marquette for Institute attendees:

• The New Orleans Marriott is located at the edge of the historic French Quarter, featuring beautifully appointed guest rooms and a revamped lobby including convenient service stands and a gift shop. On-site dining includes a restaurant serving local cuisine, a wine bar, and Starbucks. New Orleans Marriott 555 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130.
• The Sheraton New Orleans a short walk from Bourbon Street, the Aquarium of the Americas, IMAX Theater, and Riverwalk Marketplace. A restaurant and cocktail lounge are available on-site as well as a Starbucks. A fitness center is available for a fee, and a heated rooftop pool is open to all guests. • The Renaissance Pere Marquette is located only one block from Bourbon Street, this historic French Quarter hotel was originally built in 1925. It was reborn as a sophisticated jazz inspired boutique hotel offering contemporary decor, spacious baths, and ergonomic work spaces with internet access for a fee. The New Orleans Marriott, Sheraton New Orleans, and Renaissance Pere Marquette are all within walking distance of each other.

RATE: The rate at each hotel is $165.00 for single or double occupancy, per night plus tax. Additional fees will apply for triple or quadruple occupancy.

Before making your reservation have the following information available:

• Arrival and departure dates
• Type of room desired (single, double, triple, quad)
• Number of people in your party

• Your mailing address
• Your telephone number

Reservation Policies

A one night deposit for each room is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit is fully refundable if the reservation is canceled 72 hours or more before the scheduled arrival date.
