Research
NAEYC started this initiative by conducting research to help ascertain how it can best support families and teachers in their relationships with young children and each other, and to learn how parents perceive early childhood programs and teachers. This research provides an evidence base for NAEYC’s work and continues to inform our efforts today.
In 2002, more than 1800 early childhood professionals participated in a written survey developed by NAEYC and Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research. Click to read a report or an article about this research.
In 2003, NAEYC hosted focus groups and conducted a telephone survey of parents with young children enrolled in early childhood programs. Click to read an article detailing the findings from this research. |
