Ethics and the Early Childhood Educator |
|
|
The NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct offers early childhood educators guidelines for responsible behavior and sets forth a common basis for resolving ethical dilemmas encountered in early education. NAEYC recently released Ethics and the Early Childhood Educator (2nd ed.), which presents examples and questions that clarify key points about ethical conduct that will inform decision making while stimulating reflection on the critical issues facing early childhood educators.

Positions Statements |

In 2011, NAEYC reaffirmed and updated the Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment position statement. The position statement is available for download in English or Spanish. Supplements for early childhood program administrators and early childhood adult educators are also available.

These columns reflect the field's current best thinking by answering the question "What should an ethical early childhood educator do?"
