The membership of KAECE will have a collection booth at their annual conference on Sept 29-Oct 1, to collect books for young children affected by hurricane Katrina. The Southeastern Chapter of KAECE from Eastern Kentucky will coordinate collecting and shipping these books to where they are needed in child care centers across the south. The Southeastern Chapter is also coordinating a local effort to collect books for young children in their own local community, among the local child care centers, Head Starts, resource & referral staff, and all of their membership.
