To register to vote in the State of Colorado, an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a resident of Colorado and have lived in your current precinct at least 30 days before an election
- Be at least 18 years old (by the date of the next election)
- Are not serving a sentence (including parole) for a felony conviction
Must register to vote at least 29 days before the election. Can select or change party affiliation up to 29 days before the election.
- County Clerks' offices
- Denver Election Commission
- Drivers' License offices
- Municipal Clerks' offices
- Designated Public Assistance Agencies
- Military Recruitment Offices
Absentee Ballots may be obtained in person at the County Clerk's office until close of business on the Friday preceding Election Day.
Absentee Ballots will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to Election Day, or thereafter within 3 days of the county clerk receiving a request for an Absentee Ballot. If you wish to have an Absentee Ballot mailed to you, the application must be received by the County Clerk's office by close of business on Friday, the eleventh day preceding Election Day.
