To obtain an absentee ballot through the mail, complete the Absentee Ballot application and send it to your county auditor. A ballot will be sent to you when it is ready (as early as 30 days before Election Day).
An absentee ballot application can also be found online.
Mail-in absentee ballots must be delivered to the County Auditor by Election Day. If submitting the ballot in person, it must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day before Election Day. You can also have someone else return your ballot but they must do so by 3:00 p.m. on Election Day (this person cannot be a candidate and cannot return ballots for more than three voters).
