Biography
Clare Camacho, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, retired as a faculty member from the University of Guam in 2018 where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses, and managed the early childhood education program. She also has experience working with Head Start and in a daycare setting, working with children and families in early intervention programs, and teaching in a preschool special education program. Clare is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist and a locally certified K-12 special educator with an endorsement in early childhood education. She serves as the CDC Act Early Ambassador for the Federated States of Micronesia and serves on the Committee of Ambassadors for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Since retiring, Clare now provides educational consulting and training to government agencies, non-profit groups, and other organizations. Her work includes providing direct services, family support, grant writing, training, and consulting to children, families, and professionals on Guam and in the region. Her most important job is being a grandmother of three!
