Nefertiti Hunter-Holbeck is an Assistant Principal at William Ramsay Elementary in Alexandria, VA. Nefertiti Holbeck has her Master of Education degree, K-12 School Administration Certificate, and Gifted Education Graduate Certificate. She is a doctoral student at Frostburg State University. Nefertiti taught in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, NC for 10 years and has taught and worked as an Administrator in Alexandria City Public Schools for 15 years. During her tenure as Assistant Principal she has had a multitude of valuable student centered experiences: Instructional Rounds training and participation, facilitation of Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) meetings, Special Education Administrator, and Talented and Gifted Designee. In 2022, Nefertiti was selected to participate in the NAEYC- DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia Regional Advocacy Fellowship. During the year she served as a Regional Advocacy Fellow for the Northern VA Affiliate. The Advocacy Fellowship ignited her advocacy skills on behalf of children and fellow educators. Nefertiti enjoys spending time cooking, taking long walks with her dog, visiting new places with her husband and daughter, and volunteering through local and national organizations.
