Inaugural Congratulations
NAEYC congratulates President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on their historic inauguration and looks forward to working together with the new administration and Congress to provide desperately needed investments that support children, families, and early childhood educators. Moving forward, we believe that together we can make early childhood education a priority for all of our elected officials and government leaders in order to build a system that provides quality, affordable, and equitable early childhood education for families and compensation for educators that reflects the skilled, valuable, and essential nature of their work. In the beautiful words of Amanda Gorman, the Inaugural Poet, “There is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.”
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. The association comprises nearly 60,000 individual members of the early childhood community and more than 50 Affiliates, all committed to delivering on the promise of high-quality early learning. Together, we work to achieve a collective vision: that all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.
