Biography
Dawn has dedicated her life and career to serve as a champion for children and families and has served thousands of families in that capacity. As a seasoned program designer and evaluator, she employs a social justice lens to ensure the needs of participants are truly met and that all programmatic activities are evidence-based and purposeful. Dawn serves on several advisory boards including the Day Care Council of New York where she helps shape policy that impacts early childhood education. This passionate professional attended Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service and Graduate School of Business where she earned 2 Master's Degrees: Social Work and Non-Profit Leadership. She is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership at Northcentral University. Dawn believes in compassionate leadership and its ability to affect change and takes honor in her role as a leader. She currently serves as the Deputy Director of Early Childhood Education at East Side House Settlement overseeing services to over 500 families each year. Her areas of expertise include Child Welfare, Domestic Violence, Education and Juvenile Justice.
