Biography
Troy is the Director of Research, Evaluation, & Performance at Groundwork Ohio, a public-policy, research, & advocacy organization for early childhood. In addition to his role at Groundwork, Troy is a doctoral student and a lecturer at the Ohio State University. His research interests center around the intersection of social justice and early childhood education. Troy is passionate about his community and serves as a board member for the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children and volunteers as a committee member for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio.
Troy has spent his career working in early childhood, mental health, and disabilities. Troy is a committed leader in the early childhood space and is dedicated to promoting positive outcomes for young children and their families. He worked in several roles at the Ohio State University Nisonger Center’s Early Learning Program, including early childhood educator, early intervention provider, social worker, and program manager. During his time at OSU, Troy worked to support the inclusion of children receiving early intervention and special education services in general education programming and worked to support trainees in social work practice working in infant and early childhood mental health.
